Didi Gregorius could rejoin the Yankees by next road trip

 Didi Gregorius went 0-for-5 and played shortstop for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday night against Lehigh Valley  “It’s going well, potentially could see him as early as the road trip,’’ Yankees manager Boone said of Gregorius, who is coming back from Tommy John surgery last October  The Yankees, who beat the Red Sox 4-1 on Friday night at the Stadium, open a three-game series Tuesday at Toronto and follow that with three in Cleveland  Dellin Betances long-tossed before Friday’s game and he is due to throw his third bullpen session Sunday as he comes back from the shoulder impingement that has sidelined him this season  “I feel like the strength is coming,’’ said Betances, adding he threw breaking pitches for the first time on Thursday “The pitches I made in the bullpen [Thursday] had some power behind them.”    The right-hander could soon continue his rehab at the team’s minor league facility in Tampa, as he checks off boxes in his recovery  “I’m getting closer to throwing to hitters,’’ Betances said. “Once you do that, everything picks up from there ”  He’s already stronger than he was during the spring. Betances said he felt like “s–t” during the spring before he was shut down  “I don’t want to throw 88 [mph], like I did in spring training,’’ Betances said “I know the more I pitch, the stronger I will get. The ball is coming out good.”  Betances said he still doesn’t have a timeline for his return, saying he’s “just following orders ”  But he will need to appear in minor league games and pitch on consecutive days before a season-debut figures to be seriously considered    The Yankees continue to get fat against AL East rivals. Friday night’s win over the Red Sox boosted the Yankees’ record to 10-1 in the past 11 games against AL East teams They are 16-2 in divisional games since April 4 and 17-4 this season.  This is the first time since 2012 the Yankees are 3-0 against the Red Sox  With 11 saves the Yankees’ relievers led the major leagues and posted a 0.79 ERA in 12 games
