– He did not go behind the rubber! – He was–well, for me he did. – You’re listening to him!
– Aw, I ain’t listening to him, Eddie. – That’s bullshit!

– Good, I’m glad you did. I’m glad you hit me. – That’s right, You’re here for one goddamn specific reason. – What’s that, Earl? – To fuck us! – Aw, you’re full of shit. Fuck you. – That’s right. For years and goddamn years and years. And don’t you ever put your finger on me again! – You hit me, Earl. – You put your finger on me–
– That’s okay. – Goddamn right! You get that straight–

[cheering gets louder] – You’re here for one reason: to fuck us good! – Wrong.
– That’s the only reason you’re here. – You are wrong, Earl.
– And you’ll have your chance tomorrow. – Ohh–

– Your ass will never have our games again! – I hope–what do I care? – Yeah, ‘what do I care’ —
– What do I care? – What are you doing here now? – Well, why don’t you call the league office and ask them? – Yeah, I will!
– Oh, good. – Don’t think I won’t!
– Good. – The quicker you get out of this league– – Yeah, the quicker you get out it’ll be better, too. – Yeah, oh yeah?
– That’s right. – You ain’t going nowhere.
– You aren’t, either! [crowd cheering] – You wait for five, ten fucking years from now, who’s in the Hall of Fame? – Oh, you’re gonna be in the Hall of Fame?
– You know it! – Why?

[crowd cheering] – You don’t even know nothing about baseball! – You better get going, Earl. – Oh, I better get going–
– You better get going. – What the hell are you gonna do about it? [crowd cheering] [cheering gets louder] Tell the truth, that you had your hands on me. – Nah, that’s wrong, Earl! – No it ain’t! – Wrong! [crowd cheering] – [CAMERAMAN]: Motherfuck– what? I can’t hear you. – [ANOTHER MAN]: What did he do wrong? Did that guy– – He stopped his motion. It’s called a balk. Jesus Christ. We just started this god-darned thing!

Notice that the umpire tried to diffuse the situation by walking away; today's umpires want to be on the highlight reel. He also gave Earl his moment to defend his player. This is a good and proper baseball argument!

Interesting how we hear stories in the media about players complaining about mean-spirited umpires who don't respect them and say mean and bad things to them and so on.

I wonder how some of them would have felt about this series…

There aren’t many managers with a temper like Earl Weaver. The only ones who come close are Billy Martin and Lou Piniella

This exchange is perfect. It's like they're a comedic duo. Each comeback better than the last. Its hard to decide which part I want to quote. Its filled with classics.
I love how Weaver says, I've won more than I lost. The ump says no you haven't. Weaver knew he had to clarify overall wins and losses, since they had just been talking world series appearances. Then the ump goes awwww in a dismissive way. Lol
Bravo

hahahah. That umpire owned Weaver "Why you gonna be in the HOF? For fuckin' up the World Series?" hahahahah

ROLLING ON THE FUCKING FLOOR LAUGHING MY ASS OFF. I’m surprised God hasn’t thrown Earl & Weaver & Billy Martin out of Heaven & back down to hell of Earth

Classic story but can't say if it's true or not. Palmer and weaver never got along. Weaver was a smoker and was having a coughing fit on the bench. Palmer walks by and says "want a smoke?"

If only baseball was still like this!! Nobody got hurt, and it was an awesome showdown between the Ump and Manager.

I can watch this over and over again.
β€œ Your Gonna be in the Hall of Fame? For what Fuckin up World Series’s?
Lol.

The captions at 2:43 claim it was the cameraman that was talking. I think it was actually home plate umpire Ken Kaiser talking.

For those interested, here's the box score of the game: https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BAL/BAL198009170.shtml

"I didn't touch you!'
"I DID NOT! NOW YOU'RE LYING!"
"YOU'RE LYING!"
"YOU ARE LYING!"
"YOU ARE A LIAR, EARL! A LIAR!"

Absolute legend! Still one of my favorite videos ever. "You do it again and I'll knock you right in your nose!" LOL!

Earl should have been a foreign diplomat. Earl to Pakistan: "where's Osama?" Pakistan: "we don't know" Earl "aww BULLSHIT!"

What made this moment more special was Ken Kaiser's reaction at the very end of this video which made me LMFAO!!!

Earl ain't wrong, if someone acted the way he did towards me when I was umping his game I'd be looking to fuck him too.

@0:12. Keep hitting that and he keeps appearing. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Behind the rubber…..behind the rubber …

You can tell that this clip is something very special because of all the comments I browsed (550+), there are no nasty political or racial or just plain ignorant comments among them. It was like a breath of fresh air.
