Ole Miss Softball – Day One (2018)

[MUSIC] I’m wired. FBI. See I have my FBI watch. Yeah I’ve got the new FBI watch so I can talk when I need to. I thought you guys wanted to watch Star Wars for the movie. I saw it. You saw it? I’ve already seen it. Is it good? It’s not long like the last one is it? It’s like two and a half hours. Oh no. Hey will you grab your helmets, come out here real quick? Again, we don’t know when we’re going to be able to get back out on this field, so let’s use that as to our advantage today. Okay. We want to do all those things that we need to do, so in the end we can end in OKC. Okay, that’s our job, Rebs on three. One, two, three. Rebs. [MUSIC] Make sure we’re picking up the coach. Make sure we’re seeing the ball. Read it, read it, come on, come on. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go go. Right here, right here, right here, right here. Good, turn and look, good. Good job. Remember find the ball as soon as you get to the bag. Find the ball. Stay in athletic position. Go that ball’s a gap, go. Come on Alex, go. Go Alex, go she dropped it, she dropped it. Good Alex. Make habit of seeing the ball off contact. Make habit of seeing the ball off the bat. Come on, go, go, go. Come on, come on. Come on, go, get here, get here, get here. Remember if I’m doing this, and you pass me, you keep going. Make sense? Come on go, go, go. Come on, come on. Come on, go, get here, get here, get here. Come on, come on, round it, round it, round it, round it. Back, back, back, good. Good, we’re good Rub. Let’s go. Hey, good job ladies. Good job. [MUSIC] Thank you infielders. Thank you coaches for raking. Hey! Make sure you grab a helmet. Why you smacking me, lefty? She’s come for it. Don’t kill the catcher here. Let me have it. Wow, there she goes. See, told you. Remember if that ball is here, we want to be able to get right in front of here. Keep that glove down. Good drop step, good. Your feet moving? Oh yeah, break that glove in, yeah. Get there. Good, E, ball. Good. So let’s say you chose to catch it, hit’s off your glove hits your head and goes over, it’s a homerun. It’s happened in major league baseball before. I’m trying to remember who it was. Jose Canseco, there we go, Jose Canseco, that’s right. [MUSIC] Everybody in the circle. Great job today. That’s a good start. Rebs on three. One, two, three. Rebs.

I’ve seen a home run off the head in person. A n old teammate let one bounce of her head and go over for a homerun.
